Blue Bottle Coffee

    Located in Georgetown, dc "Blue Bottle Coffee" serves as a chill and very friendly cafe. This cafe is an underrated spot to get a quick cup of coffee in dc! It became one of my favorite cafes during the time I lived there. It sits next to a vast running river with outdoor seating and presents a beautiful view of Georgetown. "Blue Bottle" is a perfect place to drink and chat with friends or grab something quick whether that's a drip or the "new orleans style" latte (my personal favorite). I always recommend trying the new pastries they serve after a nice afternoon walk. Their style is rich and minimalist with an amiable community. 

On their menu, they have over five espressos, signature iced and hot lattes, drips, and more to choose from! On their website, you can buy many types of blends as well as roasts provided with rich ingredients by foreign countries. The specialty coffee they serve is fresh daily to give an enjoyable aroma and taste to all customers. The first time I went to "Blue Bottle" I ordered their "Bella Donovan" coffee. It's a drip coffee with a dark chocolate and raspberry taste. They describe it as "heavy, comforting, and deeply fruited." I recommend trying this drip if there's ever a first time! 

The setting is very minimalist and simple the minute you walk inside. Big tall windows are on the sides, a lounging area as well as a high bar area. Every time I have visited, it's super lively and not awkward silence. This location seems to hold a good amount of people each day sitting outside, inside, or even in the high-top area. Personally, I loved sitting outside. "Blue Bottle" makes sure you are comfortable wherever you sit with whatever you choose to drink! I find it to be a good place to study given the simple interior they have and the pleasant music they play. Also, the baristas make good conversation and make sure all your needs are fit for satisfaction. It's a super friendly place and area for anything. I recommend trying out this place because their coffee is totally worth trying and cozy for all! 

There are many "Blue Bottle" cafes all over cities and each one is similar to the other. Even outside of America! The comfy seating, freshly brewed coffee, and even the tasty pastries are all that make "Blue Bottle" unique! Its become one of my favorite calm cafes in a busy city atmosphere. You can chill for however long and enjoy a nice cup of coffee any time of the day! "Blue Bottle" will always make your time worthwhile and satisfying. So, whenever you're in dc, I suggest stopping by this lovely cafe and grabbing any quick coffee on their menu. Maybe even take a friend while you're at it! You won't regret it!
