Crumbs & Whiskers

Crumbs & Whiskers is a cat cafe in Georgetown of DC! I went with my friend during the time of October so it was pretty chilly! You have to schedule my appointment and you have to be quick about it! This type of activity is definitely popular and will be packed each hour! We went when they opened during the afternoon. :)

At first, we did not have to wait in a huge line since we got there pretty early. They treat you with great hospitality from the minute your appointment begins to when it ends. They give you a bag to put your shoes in so make sure to bring socks for protection and beware!

At Crumbs & Whiskers, they have a nice cafe menu. You can order treats with your coffee or tea! Personally, I ordered the matcha latte but made the mistake of getting it unsweetened...whoops! Despite the unsatisfying matcha and no shoes, I loved spending time with the kittens. There were about 15 or 20 in the cafe. Some would just randomly climb into your lap and others would lay around enjoying themselves. They also had some of up for adoption! So, if you fell in love with one of the cats or even a couple, and just wanted to take one home you could! This specific was really good at making sure all the cats were healthy and ready to play!

For their decor, most of walls were white brick with the finishing touch of bright pink neon lights and vines. Of course, there were tons of cat toys and obstacles everywhere. It was just fun to sit back and watch the cats play and do their own thing. You never know if one could just come up to you and say hello!

At the end of our visit, you can take a polaroid with a few kittens in view and take it for memory! It really fits the aesthetic under the bright neon pink sign saying "you've got to be kitten me". For personal sessions, you can choose however long. Each session that is longer does get more expensive! Again, the staff was fabulous on how they treat you and especially the cats! I personally bonded a lot with a few cats and just kept ourselves busy trying to learn what they liked to play with personally. It was humourous to figure out what toy each cat enjoyed playing with. You could definitley tell with their own personality. For example, if a cat was super calm, they would like the more soft, calm toys rather than the loud ones that you chase a lot too. I really enjoyed most of my time with the chill cats. They would just peacefully lay in your lap and sleep all nice and cozy for hours if they could. I was really happy to hear that some of these cats would be adopted and taken care of. I recommend trying this place out and seeing for yourself which cat will choose you to hang out with for your session!
